From the Alabama Department of Transportation's Absolute Public Auction
People in the market for used vehicles at a low price should not miss the Alabama Department of Transportation’s Absolute Public Auction on Saturday, June 25, beginning at 9 a.m. The auction site is located at 537 Traffic Operations Drive in Montgomery.
All types of vehicles including trucks, vans, SUVs, farm tractors, lawn and heavy construction equipment are on the auction block. Special truck and equipment financing will be available to qualified buyers through J.M. Wood Auction Company.
Additionally, surplus items including computers, electronics, office equipment, riding lawn mowers, chain saws, tires, utility trailers, and more will be auctioned Friday, June 24 beginning at 8 a.m.
Potential buyers can view auction inventory at the ALDOT facility beginning Thursday, June 23 at 9 a.m. Buyers may also preview items and sign up to bid on the Internet at www.jmwood.com. Online bidding begins Friday morning.
Auctions held in FY 2010, brought in over $8 million, generating funding for ALDOTs fleet renewal program.
